My view of the digital signage market is that its on the cusp of disruptive change, says Stephen Randall, CEO of Locomoda. Its been born out of the broadcast market, and a lot of these networks were architected as if theyre TV networks, and as we know, TV is being disrupted by the Web. I think that any of the networks in digital out-of-home that arent profoundly architected for Web will be in great difficulty. Randall also comments that there needs to be a set of standards across out-of-home networks so advertisers can better deploy ads and measure the success of that advertising across networks. Locomoda provides cross-platform distribution for interactive digital media, connecting digital out-of-home networks to the Web and social and mobile networks.
