the sport is just so different than it was when he dominated in 2000-4. The ban on testing has definitely hurt him the most, and he said it took time to get used to the new regulations such as thinner front tires and having a lot less front end feel. In my opinion schumacher outperformed rosberg in the second half of 2011, so if they can provide a winning car next year I wouldn't be surprised to see him compete

Give him time by the end of the season he will be beating Rosberg regulary and should win a race or two. Remember Brawn had to keep developing their car until the end of last season because of the title fight and they had limited resources. Other teams got a massive head start especially Ferrari. Red Bull are owned by a billionaire they have a massive bidget. Schumi will be in the title hunt next year
