If we believe in free speech, we must tolerate forms of expression we do not agree with. If you believe in free speech, you must accept my right to burn the flag. And I believe in your right to protest it.
Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear. -Harry S. Truman, 33rd US president (1884-1972)

@ThatFreeThinker #/watch?v=gacTg0N-FRo. If its constitutionally protected, tell me, how is it that LSUPD can arrest this guy?

@ThatFreeThinker Like I said, if you feel it's so legal and sheltered prove it. I'm still waiting for that video of you destroying a flag in front of your police station. You won't though because you aren't sure if you'll be arrested or not. You think a few publicized cases make it legal, but it doesn't because week after week people are arrested because they think like you, wrongly.

@ThatFreeThinker You didn't disprove anything, she still got arrested and charged. She was found guilty and is one of the few people who has money to go to SCOTUS. I'm not going to sit here and list case after case, you can simply google what I told you. If it was constitutionally protected the states would have to repeal their laws.

@SuperConfounded That's your rebuttal? You claim all these cases, state one, and when I completely disprove it by taking that case and showing how it proves my claim, you reply with that? Such deluded ignorance. Please educate yourself.

@ThatFreeThinker So when you burning that flag?
SuperConfounded 3 weeks ago
@SuperConfounded Titled "Nebraska town forced to pay Shirley Phelps-Roper $17,000 for arresting her during protest " and below stated "Phelps-Roper and Bellevue reached their agreement, a federal judge and the Nebraska attorney general agreed that the state's flag-desecration law was unconstitutional and should no longer be enforced."
As I said, arrested not charged.
