Unfortunately America’s policy in the Middle East has long been 'stability at any cost', they backed monsters, now the time has arrived to pay. Like the Lernaean Hydra, strike off its head and two more will grow. I think it would be wrong to think that there is any conspiracy where lack of judgement and incompetence is probably a better explanation.
