This new mini-series takes place right after the events of The Antares Incident. 16 years after the Enterprise-A M5 and the Dominion conflict in the Gamma Quadrant, both took its toll onthe Federation. Now in the 25th century, starfleet isstill rebuilding and some new ships are rolling off the line while other older birds ( excelsior, nebula, intrepid, miranda, galaxy ) are being phased out. Except for one named USS Pegasus, the one of the last of the mighty mid-late 24th century monolith vessels, has been refited and is now being re-intigrated into service.

I think the only thing that could've made this better was some sort of drum beat in the background behind the bagpipes.

Awesome series! I wanted to see where this all started. I would love to have heard some dialogue between charactors. "Fire phasors," "Photon torpedos, fire!" "All hands abandon ship!", etc.

damn fine job on the cgi starships but is there going to somehow be a plot of some sort?

I'd say that was voyager's sister ship that got it's butt kicked around right. I loved the hull buckling :)
