are you sure these are nylon strings? I'd be surprised, i;ve never heard a sound like this outta acoustic. i paused the video at 2:39 and its a good shot of the guitar and it looks alot like a martin with steel strings to me...

you may already know the answer to this but jeff tweedy plays breedloves i believe. He's playin his own signature guitar I think.

It's the pickup. He uses the M1 by LR Baggs.

I found tabs, but they suck. They are not right.. or even close. i hate that. For example that little arpeggio he does when he goes "you say you wanna communicate," -  the tab says to just traverse the high D string 2, 4, 5, 7 with an open A - it sounds kinda like it but obviously jeffs doing other things - and those unique voicings make it sound brilliant.
