A promotion video to motivate Rotarians to bring Youth into Rotary. The La Jolla New Generations Rotary Club was chartered in 2007 and the average age of its member is 32. Many members are past Rotaract or Interact members, RYLA participants, children or grandchildren of Rotarians, alumni of The Rotary Foundation, etc.
Video produced by PDG Philippe Lamoise, with the help or Rotarians Liz Raines, Britt Catton, and the members of the La Jolla New Generations Rotary Club.

  • This is exactly what Rotary needs to revitalize membership. The problem is how to take existing clubs and motivate them to respect and actively seek professionals under 40. To often a Rotarian is 55 or over and when they meet a younger professional, they want to make a connection by talking about their children, rather than talk about business-related issues. Older Rotarian need to be trained how to see a young professional as an equal, or at very least, as a business professional.

  • Very cool!
