A response to Charlie McDonnell's video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7syfhrVaLo&feature=recentf

I apologize for the darkness in the video.

If you had a dollar for every time I said "nerdy" in this video... what would you buy?

A list of other nerdy things which I didn't mention above:
I first noticed my nerdiness when I read a book entitled "Fermat's Last Theorem" during my Freshmen year in high school. My dear grandfather has also given me two very interesting books: A Great History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson and Physics of the Impossible by Michio Kaku.
I constantly play Sudoku.
I have a large collection of Manga and am also part of the anime club.
I made it a point to wear a Radiohead badge almost every school day during the spring. (Nobody responded to it, though...)
I am a member of not only the Robotics club, but also the newly formed (with a whopping total of five active members!) mathletes club. :3
I wear glasses.
I spend way too much time on the computer. (But don't we all?)

  • Wow, I share almost every single one of the traits you named here. xD I do random things like the limits thing with asymptotes, I remember experimenting with Pascal's triangle a couple times, I'm fairly good at Minesweeper, I LOVE math and science, I studder a bit, I was fascinated by moles, I can solve a Rubik's cube in a minute and a half, I look at the stars a lot and ponder, I'm gonna learn Japanese, and other stuff. That's kinda crazy xD

  • @zamusician That is pretty amazing.. Haha

It takes me more than two minutes to solve the Rubik's cube. Show me how to do it more quickly! :]

  • @nicolyrandomluv I use a method slightly different from the way Dan does it. It has this really complicated logarithm at the end (22 moves I think?), but it's worth it. xD

  • @zamusician I'd love to learn that! =O

  • Ahw, you're totally adorable. Nerds are amazing, I'm sorta nerdy myself. :P

  • @checkinthere Thank you! I'm glad you think so. :D

Although nerds can be socially awkward, we will be the ones taking over the universe. ♪

  • Hi Nicole, I don't think I'm as nerdy as you, but I'm a pretty big chemistry nerd. Here's a list:

    1) When I'm stressed out, I draw out organic chemistry reactions and biochemical reactions on my dry erase board and scratch paper...I also do this for fun.

    2) I collect minerals for their appearance, but mostly for their chemical composition.

    3) I have a wall calendar of fractals.

    4) I search for interesting primary scientific literature related to biochemistry.

List goes on, not enough space...

  • @nicolyrandomluv haha I'll see if I can teach you my method over the break. :D

  • @TheAbsurdApple Close... It's actually an orange TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Textas Instruments calculator. It is three years old. I take very good care of it. ♥

  • @JimothyJimson Thank you so much! And yes, I am slowly learning how difficult it is... but I will prevail.
