Very insightful... I had one question however... When using the singing technique how would u incorporate pinch harmonics and tremolo picking because I would imagine they would be hard to express via voice... Would you get a good foundation and incorporate said techniques afterwards... Or would you attempt to sing them?

this will improve your phrasing drastically...but what about if i want to transcribe some really fast scalar shredding? can you give me some tips?.....i've been playing for a little more than 5 years and damn my ears aren't really good in listening to fast pikcing thingy, but arppegios are really easy to transcribe for me even if it's lightning fast cause it's just the same as recognizing if it's major, minor or diminishedand augmented....whatsoever,i need some tips....

Dude I love you, you said you can only play as good as you sing so I heard something in my head then I sang it then I was able to play it. You really helped me a lot dude thank you.

scotty does your dvd teach you how to train ear with guitar efficiently? I've been playing 5 years however I have trouble on recognizing chords I can't even play a song without looking at sheet music or tabs. I know major chord sounds happy and minor chord sounds sad and all that... but then whenever I hear music on radio I can't even guess one single chord... so what am I do wrong? how do you learn to recognize chord?

@Jayce1219 We give you tips on how to do your own ear training but you can't expect too much too soon. You mentioned you have been playing for 5 years, but how much work have you done on your ears? It takes time and EXPERIENCE to hear chords and progressions. Don't be discouraged. Everone progresses at their own pace. You have to have a good knowledge of THEORY to train your ears too, so those are the two areas we focus on most in the course. Good luck. You'll do fine :-)
