I think Canadians are just very, very, very insecure about their nationality (on a subconscious level, more often than not) and about the superpower the United States, right next door. And to prove it, there are so many videos trying to promote Canada's "superiority" over the US with all thumbs up. The US itself and the international community, are confident the nation as global power - that's why pro- American/ anti- Canadian videos are rare or spammed with dislikes (probably from Canadians).
