Its amazing how he isn't grey yet! Ringo had put out some great albums in 1970s. I always wondered why he took up singing and not joined a diffrent band after the break up? I read somwhere that Ringo was still on speaking terms with Paul after the split. He played on John's "P.O.B" LP and on a number George's albums to 1975. He didn't play on any of Paul's LPs until Paul's "Tug of War" LP in 1982. Paul played on Ringo's "RINGO" LP; "Rotogravure" in 1976 and "Stop and Smell the Roses" in 1981.

_continued from last comment_ ...Which is the job of a drummer. the sole purpose of a drummer is to give music a steady beat to lay on top of and to support the singer. NOT do crazy drum solos every 10 seconds or crazy out of beat fills that drive away from the song. No, Ringo has done the job amazingly which should be appreciated and never denounced because , after all, he has influenced many other drummers, including my self to pick up some drum sticks.

@MickeyLove look dude.. dont talk shit about The Beatles. because as a matter of fact "the greatest rock band of all time" can be said about The Beatles but only as a way to show that they are a really great band and changed music history. yet other bands are just as equal. its just an expression man. dont have to go all technical. opinions don't have any technicality. And Ringo is not a below average drummer. he is actually a great drummer. he is not flashy, and he blends with the song.

@ivanabannana Can't believe he's nearly 70. Paul was my favourite but I liked Ringo. However, since his stupid comments over the past 12 months he has certainly gone down in my estimation and a lot of Liverpool people feel the same. Such a shame. Just wish he's kept his gob shut.

What the fuck's with Ringo's stupid bloody PUT ON American accent?! (And it IS put on, 'cos the silly bugger don't seem to be able to keep the bloody thing goin'!) He seems to constantly switch between Yankee and Scouse. :/
