It's worse than that. That was the SECOND TIME he said it in two days. The first time he said it he actually said it on the Senate floor on Sunday. Pointing out that the states will have to come up with matching funds for Medicaid (which provides medical insurance for the poor) and then saying that his state is 30% African American, as if they're always synonymous.

Once is a gaffe. Twice is either tone-deaf, or dog-whistle, I can't decide which.

if bribery is not the way of politics in goverment then how come you take all that money from health insurance companies and thier lobbyists and then you vote against and obstruct healthcare reform? i'm sure all the money they give you is not some sort of bribe to do what they want you to do and not work for your constituients,right?
