@MROUQUART You're right. I'm assuming, and so is Daniel Johnston. John never said there was no God, his concept of God was metaphor instead of literal.

Who ever said he derived it from "Imagine"? Lennon also has a very good song titled "God", in which he says he doesn't believe in God (or the beatles)

It's interesting how Daniel, who believes there's a Devil, interpreted John Lennon saying, "Imagine...no religion too", as to mean "There's no God."

@rusty1491 I don't know, it really didn't seem that odd to me since he does believe there is a Devil to interpret it that way. But they're both great songs!
