@arslp , thanks for your spirited response. You give a clear reminder that there are many, many women out there who do not support NOW -- and who do not feel supported by NOW. The way both Sarah Palin and her children were attacked was beyond belief -- where was NOW to protect her?

This video clearly indicates the problem with NOW. It defines itself as being against all oppression against women. The supposition of so many women is that this oppression is instigated by men. Therefore, men are assumed to be the oppressors and women are assumed to be the victims. Yet the numbers of men being abused by women is on the rise. Women abusers' cruelty is protected and enabled by organizations like NOW. NOW is not about equal rights. It is about women's rights.

OBAMAS participated in his campaign, and ZIP was said.
You don't represent me; and you don't represent conservative women. You're a self-serving, cherry-picking group of loud mouthed females who support abortion, the liberal agenda - completely, and nothing for those who don't fall within your borders.
Pat yourselves on the backs while real matters such as the case of muslim women, go untouched by NOW. Conservative women are women also, you liberal bunch of hypocrites.

3. How about speaking out against the discrimination shown to Sarah Palin? She shouldn't have run for office, b/who would care for her kids (her husband); but BOTH

I am a female. How's about you taking on issues that matter. These include:
1. The subjegation and victimization of muslim women in this country - and overseas. They're raped; they have acid thrown in their faces; they face gential mutilation - that violent enough for you, you card carrying fluff bags?
2. How about speaking out against the vile attacks against Carrie Prejean? She is a female who was called vile names - including the "stated" omission of female anatomical parts.
NOW is a man hating group.

NOW is an organization of men and women working together towards equality. There are many men who are members of NOW, leaders of chapters, and dedicated activists for equality for women and men.
