Taken from the NYCGB gala performance in 2008. This performance is from the National Youth Choir, the principal choir of the NYCGB. Conducted by Musical Director Michael Brewer.
EEK! No scores! Or at least they're not reading the scores as they sing. As a choral singer I admire that - especially with such a rarely-heard work and in a foreign language too. It's incredibly difficult.
Oh my god this takes me back I was in the NYCGB when it performed this in 1987! And Mike Brewer was the musical director then too!! I have never forgotten this piece it is my favourite ever choral work and I will never forget being in the NYCGB - I was the only Scottish member back then! Glad to see Mike still doing this one!!
