  • Engines you see are the Merlin 1C engines developed by SpaceX. The 1st stage consists of 9 of these rocket engines which use liquid oxygen and rocket grade kerosene fuel mixture.

  • This was a closeup of the 3.5 sec static fire test conducted on the launch pad at Kennedy Space Center. This test is prelude to the inaugural launch of the Falcon 9 slated for April 12.
