@JessicaSings96 At Honor Choir and college levels, animation is oftentimes encouraged. Movement while singing helps to loosen the body so that the voice is not so tense. It also permits emotion to be translated from the body into the voice and then passed from the director to the choir to the audience, forming what my friend calls the "gift triangle". Yeah, he's real philosophical concerning music...lol
