Gota Go Bullville charged through the passing lane to score a 1:56.2 victory in the $125,707 Lou Babic Memorial Pace for New Jersey-sired two-year-old pacing colts and geldings Saturday at Freehold Raceway.
The freshman pacing colt, sired by Matts Scooter, won by three-quarters of a length over the pacesetting Moneybackguarantee (sired by Red River Hanover). Finishing third was Rockin Ray (Rocknroll Hanover).
Jason Bartlett piloted Gota Go Bullville to his fourth win in 10 starts this year. He has also been second four times. The victory boosted his purse earnings to $118,560 with the winners share of the purse for trainer Stephen Crevani and his wife Carole, the co-owners and breeders. ©2009 StandardbredCanada.ca / Roberts Communications Network LLC / Freehold Raceway
