we're playing this tonight and I have the part in front of me. There is actually a third movement included, but which is one giant cadenza which ends with an attacca into the 4th movement. You can see the cellist direct the first string chord with his head because the timing is very very tricky!

quality is much worse betwen this video and the preceding one, why?
anyway, decicious and amazing interpretation, he is the best one I´ve seen playing the candenza, and he´s physically so involved!!!

My favourite Shostakovich cello concertos player is Mischa Maisky... I also DO like Han-na Chang interpretation. Even though it was composed and dedicated to maestro Rostropovich, I consider this two instrumentalist the better. I haven't heard Truls Mork yet, probably he could change my mind. :D
