I read that Jared had to issue a beat down on some crazy guy, but why did the band not keep playing? Was the crowd too crazy even for the Black Lips?

And how come there is no video or photos of the beat down posted anywhere, when I've seen pictures of all the photographers in the audience? Anyone?

there was very low light at this show, the photos are deceptive. most of the photographers were on the other side of the stage. add to that all the stage potatoes blocking the view and you somewhat get the idea as to why there is no good documentation of the fight. the video is nothing but pitch black or blocked by the crowd.

Thanks for the reply. I think your video looks really good. I would love to have been able to see a whole set of that craziness filmed like that.

Did the band opt to stop playing or did the venue owners shut it down?

good thing the band stopped when they stopped. the heat was just unbearable. I was drenched, like I had been thrown in a pool. People were passing out (which might also been have caused by them not being able to handle alcohol toooo well). And on top of it the bass broke. 37min was more than enough in that kinda environment. someone should have told the opening 3 bands to keep it to 20min.

Such a good show-- too bad it ended so abruptly.
