At Experimentadesign I launched my new piece Plié with a live performance by dancers from the Escola Superior de Danca of Lisbon. Showing process and progress, starting with an empty space, an intervention during the opening by dragging in all elements and installing them on place. Here's a movie of the rehearsal, prior to the opening event.

This piece questions design approaches, uniqueness and esthetics and showing the process and quest for inventions related to the use of energy.

The first prototype is based on the rest-warmth which is created be a regular light bulb. This remaining 95% of heat is caught by a shield, which enables it to float on it's own heat. The new piece shows the contrary, as the first prototype uses 2000 Watts of energy, the new piece "Plié" uses only 4 Watts, this by making use of the energy on it's most effective way. The tiny bubbles reflect the light produced by LED's, the remaining light energy is reflected by the reflective shielding material of the light object, this to create a high light output experience.
