Public Service Announcement: Beware dubious domain name registrars that use deceptive tactics to win your business.
If you receive an invoice from "Domain Registry of Canada" be skeptical. They are attempting to acquire your domain name registration business through deceptive means. The problem is: their rates are 4 to 5 times higher than most other domain name registrars.
They are hoping that this "invoice" will be paid, thereby transferring your domain registration business to them, even though you have NEVER done business with them in the past.
Ignore the invoice! Don't worry, your current (i.e. real, established, ongoing) domain name registrar will send you an email invoice when it is time to renew.
Be skeptical! Don't be taken in by dubious business practices like this!
BTW, I use DomainsAtCost.ca for my domain name registration.
Thank you I received the same letter from THE Domain Registry of Canada. I will report this dubious business practice because this is really done on the purpose to confuse the customers.
