R160B N 8833 - 8837 & 8848 - 8852 @ 57th Street.

NOTE : This video was not to show the trains, it was for the sound since this coupling is by far the rarest thing to be seen in NYC Transit today. Also come commentary with me in it.

Yes you read this correctly. Both Siemens AND Alstom Trains coupled together. I have no idea why they were coupled this way but i'm happy to be the first one to catch this video. This has to be one of the rarest R160 Sightings by far.

Listen to the sound as the trains leave the station. Both Propulsion sounds are released and it sounds so weird. I'm also speaking in this video about the coupling of the cars, not really showing the train

  • one is a R160A and one is a R160B. people dont know that?? im suprised

  • Wrong, these are both R160B sets, R160As werent delivered at this time.

  • Excuse me? Mind you, at least im not a hypocrite who hates the NTTs yets takes pics and vids of them. And no, I was not "foaming" to death, whats wrong with a little bit of commentary? Is your mind still in that phase of foaming over those shitty rustbuckets you call R42s or is your ego taking over the size of your genitals making you make fun of people over the internet and being a pussy in person. If you got nothing good to say, then just shut the fuck up and mind your business

  • Exactly you needs to shut the fuck up because you're the most hypocritical motherfucker I ever met. I had enough of wastes of sperm like you, I see why they invented condoms now. They don't want more mistakes like you.

  • yeah, so does the R32/38

  • er um its obvious but, both are the same car but these cars have a conductor at the cent, where you were recording and they close 1 half then the other, so its not the makers fault..

  • @skipstops there SMEE cars. Any SMEE type car (R32, R33, R33WF, R36, R36WF, R38, R40, R40M, and R42 can be coupled up together. Its just that they don't do that. I've seen an R40 coupled up with an R42 and a not in service R33 coupled w/ an R32.

  • One is a Bomberdier set and one is Alstom?

  • Wow fuck off. He is informing people. So basically, what you're sayin is:

I foam to death if I talk about.. say, a Norfolk Southern C40-9 with an oldcast Nathan P5 horn, Which, by the way, is extremely hard to catch now.

Fuck up dude, don't bash people because they project their voices in a video.

  • R160 Siemens and Alstom can never be hooked up together again because when the two mix up the ride is not very smooth.

  • They sound mixed up... Normally I'd hear one or the other (From riding the E)

  • LOL at the comments below me...that train doesn't sound right....IMO
