Uigurs of China (Alabalihan)

The Uyghur (Uyghur: ئۇيغۇر‎, Chinese: 维吾尔) are a Turkic ethnic group living in Eastern and Central Asia. Today Uyghurs live primarily in the Xinjiang Province in China. An estimated 80 % of Xinjiang's Uyghurs live in the southwestern portion of the region, the Tarim Basin.

Large diasporic communities of Uyghurs exist in the Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. Smaller communities are found in Mongolia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Russia and Taoyuan County of Hunan province in south-central Mainland China.

This song's title is a girl's name, Alabalihan. I'm not sure what's the lyrics about. If someone could help translating I will appreciate it.

The problem with your clip is that you see Uyghurs only as herding sheep, selling kava at bazars or riding donkeys. These are Uyghur traditions, not the only slot in the world for Uyghurs. Uyghurs belong to the modern world just as the rest of humanity. When China realizes that and when Uyghurs are given opportunities in modern China, the scenes of violence in Urumqi will be distant memories of the past. Violence is only a symptom of a bigger social problem.
