@dtchunkbrown What comes out of the stack is not steam used to roll the turbine. It is however pretty harmless. Air quality systems turn the flue gas into mostly water vapor and carbon dioxide.

@dtchunkbrown You're a fool. That is steam. You could stand over it and breathe it in and suffer no health related problems. But what you are ignoring, maybe deliberately, is that the steam you're seeing is being emitted 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, by THOUSANDS of other coal plants, and that my friend, is GREENHOUSE GAS emission that is causing global warming.

You forgot to add steam to your tags. Afterall, that's what this video shows.

Whats the difference between this and the BP disaster? Media attention.
Thanks for posting.

this is beautiful. What software do you use to piece together the timelapse and do the pan?

Great work! The soundtrack is one of my favorite movie soundtrack, and it goes very well with the imagery in your video.

very nice. that was pretty creepy. loved that last shot!!
@bd1965 That is steam flowing out of those smoke stacks! the process of a coal fired power plant heats the coal over tubes of water to create steam. that steam then fires the turbine, and what is not reused is cooled and/or released. there is no environmental issues here, and although it can look like it is a disaster, it is not.
