I think, just for future reference, try using dynamics... this is all kind of a loud forte/fortissimo. more emotion, you should work on shaping your phrases more with crescendos/decrescendos... vibrato at the beginning? more contrast in the faster part. good luck with your saxophone studies, though! it's a rough ride. :)

you sounded like you were forcing the notes. i know sax is hard to play but you needed to relax a little.

people should be more constructive, and less harsh with their criticisms.

i WILL say that videotaping or recording yourself is a great start. you can match it up with recordings of other sax players, and decide what you like about their playing that you don't hear in your own.

and remember: some people are mean because they have nothing better to do! :)
