I am impressed by you Karajan like committment and profundity.You are a major talent.
Piano for me sounds a bit Bluthner like ,but it might be the quality of that recording.

hell, how many different tempos? Interesting ideas, but overdoing a bit i would say. His efforts to achieve some sort of profundity and drama make it drag, as if the song is wearing lead shoes.

Some competitions specify yhat you must ignore repeats - and 1 or more great pianist(s) ignore them too.

There definitely is a repeat. In the Dover edition, it's at the bottom of the second page.
