I WOUDL LOVE TO SEE A PHOTO SHOOT ONLOCATION AT A GRAVE YARD THEME OR SKYLINE SHOOT WITH SPEEDLIGHTS ASS A SHOOTING THEME

amazing video love the shoots and themes i was wondering what size softbox did you use to shoot the women on locaton shoot amazing video and great information thanks

@timmy1103 does this apply to the ON CAMERA flash "--" that it doesn contribute to the picture/scene etc.?
-
@erics1959 good question Eric although you are not entirely correct. The "red sensor cover" that you are referring to on the front of the speedlight only contains the AF assist LEDS and also "ready light" LEDS indicating that the flash is in remote mode - you may want to refer to your user manual for confirmation of this. The light pulse that remote flashes respond to is sent from the flash head itself - otherwise why would it pulse at all? SU800 is a different beast altogether. Thanks!
Silly question.. what's the difference between shooting through the umbrella...and using the softbox?
Thanks in advance. Cheers for the video Tim...has been a lot of help.

@gangrenous77 thanks for your question. as far as the quality of light is concerned, both softboxes and umbrellas are very similar, but a softbox can be a little softer due to the fact that most of them have a built in diffusion panel in addition to the front face diffusion panel. also your get a little more directional control with a softbox as it throws all of the light out the front face, whereas an umbrella does not quite have that directional control.
hope that helps!

grt video !! dose the flash on your camera ( master ) effect the photo or just trigger the other flashes ??
Kz777ER 1 year ago
@Kz777ER you can use the master flash to contribute to the image if you wish - it depends on what mode you select for the built in flash. "- -" means that the built in flash will fire to command the remote flashes but it will not contribute to the shot. If you choose another mode like "TTL", "M" or "A" then it will contribute to the exposure. So just experiment and have some fun. Thanks for watching.
