This is the introduction to one of my favorite games of all time, Callahan's Crosstime Saloon. I really hope you guys enjoy this one, I find it to be one of the funniest games ever written.

WARNING! The beginning is somewhat slow, but the game picks up in the next few parts. =)

  • One more thing: Ask Fast Edie to play one of his specialties, mainly The Drunkard's Song. It's sang by Spider Robinson and no one knows the complete lyrics since he changes them every time he performs it :)

  • @ServantOfBoron I know :) I've played this games a million times in the past, I don't ask Fast Eddie to sing near the end of the game, however. There's SO much stuff to do in this game (it already spans 40 parts) so I tried to stick to the basics.

  • Good start PUS. This is one of the greatest games in the history of adventure games.

Parabolus and Gingraneetch are more or less GODS and Parabolus is our GOD and he wants to save us. That's the story more or less.

One tip though: you don't have to scroll the screen slowly, just right-click and you'll rotate 90 degrees at a time. Helps a lot :)

Can't wait for another clip. I actually wanted to this one myself but I decided to do another Legend's game: Superhero League of Hoboken :)

  • @ServantOfBoron PUS? Since when does Roses start with an S? ;)

  • Bit of a slow start, but I'm still eagerly awaiting the next.

Can I ask what you use to capture your footage?

I've been thinking of doing a Lets Play for a while now, and tried out Fraps, but a 5 minute section of footage is around the 4.7GB mark. :/

  • @FizzyWM Oh yeah, it's agonizingly slow in the beginning. I was tempted to talk more about the settings and characters, but it would have lasted way too long.

I use dosbox to capture, it's by far the best quality screen capture I've used without having to pay for something pricey. It captures both sound and the game.

To answer your Green/Young riddle/question... Singer/songwriter Neil Young had an album, movie, and graphic novel titled: Greendale

That might not be the *real* reason or answer, but there's logic to it and it's the best I could offer.

And as you pointed out by solving the 1st riddle that the rest have a link to music: bands/artists etc., etc., so, there you go. : ]

  • @aclark141 Nah, it's the way she says it. I get the feeling Pushinguproses likes 'fuck'. I have to admit, it's a great word :D

  • @CoHScrapper Green is a synonym for young or inexperienced believe it or not. For example new soldiers are called 'green'. I think the comparison comes from plants, where the youngest plants or parts of plants are the greenest.

I know, useless info, but whatever :P

  • When you say "fuck" it gives me an erection, guess I've seen too much porn.

  • HOME OF THE UNDERDOGS WOOOOO!!!

    iI LOVE YOU NOW!

i actually bought the real game when i was like 10-14 in the us at a k-mart i think for like 10 bucks or something... IT IS AWESOME!

i don't think any of our house computers can still play it cause its old. after i played it i had to read the books, and they are great in and old school perce anthony way.

  • @pushinguproses Its a shame it doesn't fit because in my language in means "kitten" like a small cat or something you call your dearest. :)

  • arrows + myth = Aerosmith ^_^

  • @SimontheSorceror

Dude, it was just a joke. That was hardly worth calling someone a bitch and a whore over. Chill.

  • The 10th riddle should be "The Doors"

THUD + ORES = THE DOORS.

Rolling Stones doesn't make any sense.

  • Welcome to "York-Easter"!

  • WAIT! WHAT!?!?! Compainions of Xanth!?!?!?! I thought that was just a freaking plot device for D.D.D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse me, I have some game hunting to do on Amazon. . . .
