A reaction of small piece of potassium metal with water. The flame you see is actually burning hydrogen given off but is colored pink due to potassium vapor.

  • I shower using a block of pure potassium instead of soap. I get clean as FUCK bro.

  • The light it makes is soooo pretty, awww <3<3

  • @AlphaDuckz wow if he was stealing it he has to know how potassium reacts with water duhh!

  • @AlphaDuckz lol, so he basically made a time delayed fuse in his pocket and pour some petrol on it

  • nice

  • insanity wolf told me to do this.

  • @To6yandChr1s We did it in year 7 XD

  • weeeeeeeeeee pop

  • Never, ever, accidentally drop K in the sink in the lab. It scares the crap outta ya

  • @polmedo89 The Potassium in this video is pure metallic potassium that is on the periodic table, and it is the most radioactive. There are different isotopes of Potassium. The one in Bananas and other produce is of a different isotope and is way too weak to cause any combustion when in contact with water.
