I came across this while channel-surfing in the summer of '87 right as I was getting geeked up for the Aykroyd/Hanks feature. I'd always remembered it as a fun and well-written retrospective of the original series and a pretty good behind-the-scenes look at the new movie, but I never thought I'd see it again. Thanks so very much for the upload!
The best Dragnet for sure is the 1950's version. Many things changed by the time of the 1966 series but it was good also. Thanks for sharing this documentary with us. I loved Jack Webb's radio and tv series.
Interesting to think that, by their promotion of cigarette smoking, they were responsible for far more deaths and suffering than ALL the murderers in America during the same time.
