Footage from a recent meet by members of the Internal Martial Arts forum at MAP. Areas of training included push hands, working against a guard, striking work, movement and knife defence
attempting to knock a mans guard down can be dangerous , especially if he goes with it . he can turn it into a couple of good hooks while your force is still on its way down. I remember my master dan docherty getting very annoyed at me attempting this and quickly demonstrated to me the error of my ways . enjoyed the video , the first guy seemed knowledgeble
The first guy is Steve Rowe, regular contributor to Martial Arts Illustrated magazine.
With regards to breaking the guard, your force shouldn't be going down, but into the opponents arms.

I also enjoyed the video and liked the way the first chap showed his art.
