In this tutorial, Jigsaw24's resident 3D modelling and render farm expert, Ben Kitching, shows how to set up CINEMA 4D with external render farm managers such as Qube!, Deadline and Royal Render.

Why would you external render? It seems to be a doubling up... any C4D user would plan a system that was capable of doing that locally and on the fly...

Major studios have several 3D applications, 2D compositors and users, so it's important to use a render manager that supports all the applications and can queue jobs from different applications.
Also, if you are rendering on hundreds of machines, Command Line Rendering is quicker to set up than CINEMA 4D's Net Render.
If on the other hand you are using CINEMA 4D as your main tool and using fewer machines, Net Render will serve you perfectly well.
