This was great. Kiwi fighter jocks, good to go, definitely! I'm former USAF and have always admired the Royal New Zealand Air Force - small, but you get the job done. It's a shame that your fighter jets were taken away. I know you almost got some F-16's from us and I wish that would have gone through. If nothing else, hell, we've got some perfectly good F-5E/F's mothballed that I'm quite sure the RNZAF could put to good use...

Forget the F-35. It is a nightmare programme and could soon (and should) be scrapped by Congress. It is already blown out it's ass in costs and now the airframe and engine are having serious issues. The F-35 is fast going the way of the F-22 Raptor; dead in the water. Besides why would we want American jets? They come with too many political strings attached. As for the Eurofighter, it is insanely expensive and the Europeans won't sell the fully capable models to anyone but themselves. When NZ
