Yea well it didn't get very far :/ It grew on me but I think it reached it's peak pretty quick. "All Gold Everything" stayed with me for just as long lmao Ugh, it's actually still stuck in my head haha

I'm usually pretty good about telling whether something is a grower or not but yea I feel yah. I definitely haven't written off any of the new singles. Was just my initial impression.

just give it time, man. when i first bought their s/t, i didn't really 'get it'. put the album away for a couple months, and threw it in my walkman for the bus ride to school. had shivers and goosebumps the whole way there. it's not the hard hitting instant rock gratification you can get from some love is simple or set em wild tracks. These tracks, as well, don't have that quality, they are exploring a new sonic space that can't be digested right away. but i have a good feeling about it.

Ok, if you wanna get into it, let's get into it. Akron/Family has been my favorite group since 2006. I have had semi-religious experiences at their concerts, fallen in and out of love along with all of their records, and had the pleasure of meeting these fine gentlemen a couple times. I'm not the best dude to have a debate about 'good' or 'bad' because i respect their discography too much to consider it that way. if i don't dig something, i'm probably just not in the mood right at that moment.

That's nice, dear. But seriously, let's get to the point here. Compare this to the singles from Set 'em Wild (or practically any song from that album). It's no contest. I feel that practically any song from 'Love is Simple' is better as well.
