This theme was also used for WSVN- Channel 7 in Miami for their "Live At Five" show that aired in the mid to late 1980's when they were an NBC affiliate.

The news on WSVN was "NewsCenter 7" with a different version of this theme. Everything was changed just before the station became a FOX affiliate on January 1, 1989.

Oh my good friend, Phyllis Eliasberg. She was the station's comsumer reporter for about two years. She now does freelance work in Boston. Her son, Jonathan Eliasberg, is an anchor and reporter at WBZ-TV. He goes under the name Jonathan Elias.

WABC was preparing for a possible sale to The Polaroid Corporation.

The theme music for this ill-fated "Eyewitness Extra" was also used for "Eyewitness News" on WLS-TV in Chicago for a few years starting in 1980.
