Again, thanks so much for sharing.
David Bowie's album of the songs from BAAL is a classic.

Again, thanks! For anyone who hasn't yet heard it, Bowie's latest live CD, "A Reality Tour", is amazing - his voice is stronger and purer than ever, pianist Mike Garson has aged like the finest wine, and even the audience, accompanying David as he sings acappella, keeps surprisingly in tune.

thank you for posting this. such a shame it's not in better shape *cry* but oh well it much better to see it then not :)

IIRC, the musical score was almost entirely composed by Dominic Muldowney, not Weil.

Where's the rest of it? There's only about 25 minutes. The orginal transmission was 65 minutes. I'm really intrigued by the play...

That performance is great! A real gem!
Damn, I'm going to have to give RealCoolCat my firstborn....I-I-I mean second....for this heavenly, RARE, post. Hallelujah!! Finally my eyes have seen the glory..the words of Brecht, the divine compositions of Kurt Weil, delivered through the genius of The David. The studio recordings of Weil's songs are SUPERB and easy enough to aquire, however, this vintage BBC footage is an absolute treat. Many thanks.

Glad you liked it. I have the same feeling when I find some unknown Bowie treasure hidden in the internet. :-)
