I know it's kinda stupid that Starbucks has tip jars, but I worked there for 2 years and they only make minimum wage :/ Idk maybe Starbucks is just trying to compensate for that :P

@manoftomorrow79 I pray you're right. We're going to need a new President & big majorities in Congress to un-do all the damage done over the past 4 years. When the Dems swept in several years ago, they immediately passed every item on their agenda for the last 40 years. They will fight & scream when we reverse it, so we'll need all the seats we can get. Otherwise, with a closely divided Congress, nothing will be changed. It'll take a lot of money from free-enterprise Capitalists to do this... :)

That other comment said, here comes what I agree on. Obama did give money to a supporter most likely because they supported him. That is the point I agree on. political favors being directed to anyone or any corporation is Wrong. I support that technology and the fact that they were an american company but not that they received special favors due to supporting Obama.
GET THE FUCKING MONEY OUT OF POLITICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Kevin, you have Partial disagreement from me. But at least I will be polite about it. Solyndras product line was basically a central inverter MPPT per module based power tracker. It is the best way to incorporate mppt tracking on a per module bases with battery back up. The technology is losing to micro- inverters that were developed in america but are now manufactured in china. The problem is that battery back up systems cost more. Read next comment please.

@baddogonline 100% disagree with you people are fleeing from obama in droves this includes, blacks, hispanics, demo
crats, and independants. Also another relevant point the 9th district for NY,and Nevada special elections were huge victories for the gop. For NY a mostly democratic voting district hasn't been republican since the 1920's. And for Nevada they threw everything at Mark Amodei and he still beat Kate Marshall by over 20 points. This was a big referendum on Obama he has no chance in 2012. -
@baddogonline Socialism? you mean like redistribution of wealth? Economies are built on the redistribution of wealth. Come on people, stop with the one liners that are fed to you and do your homework. I would like to see Buddy Reohmer (sp?) get the republican nomination. He won't though because he doesn't except more than $100 from anyone any any corporation or super pac. and as for those socialist countries, I think they are doing okay but i will check to see before making that statement.

For the first time, I disagree. Obama will win re-election, because he has a billion dollars in his war chest, and because he has the liberal-media is on his side. The only way we're going to get him out of office is to have every freedom loving, business-minded person to give as much as they can to his opponents. Otherwise, Socialism will reign for another four years. Don't be fooled; the Starbucks people are a bunch of west-coast commie-libs playing in Soros' sandbox.

As my dad always said "Always tip your beer man.... because we believe in Jesus."
I agree. I say eliminate 90% of contributions if not all. We need clean energy but it can't happen overnight. We need to drill in our country now to create jobs with permit conditions that a certain percentage of cash flow goes to the development of clean energy tech. I big problem with solar and wind is the battery back up technology. you are correct there. more R&D needs to be put into the battery back up aspect of the technology.
