I am a cluster headache sufferer since I was 13. I am a female 48 years old now and am episodic. I was finally diagnosed in 1992 I must have been 28 or so. I felt terrible after I saw this video. I usually go 2 to 4 years without pain. My last attack was in 2008, getting signs that they are returning. Scare the life out of me but I know in 4 - 6 weeks they will be gone for a long time. You on the other hand have been in pain every single day for 5 years. I know your pain all too well. :(

I'm with you brother. 25 years for me. I hope and prayer that you get the relief you need from the surgery. Good luck and get better! My prayers are with you.

I can TOTALLY understand everything you are going through. I am a 37 yr old female and I have had cluster headaches since I was 4 years old (that's 33 years!). I was misdiagnosed until 2008. It was "sinus" ha's until 1991, then it was migraines. I was epsodic until 2000. During the episodic period, they came every 6 weeks & lasted 7 days straight (2 days severe pain). I've never had it last 30 mins,go away and come back. always continous. In 2000, they went chronic, and 2009, to daily. it sucks

@ClusterHeadSurvivor oh ya sure im not a sufferer but i can tell you it would be worth it to go through painful painful surgery instead of waiting to die to escape the pain

@MurphMagnetic
I quit smoking Aug 23,2011.
I have not smoked once since then let alone be around a smoker. I avoid 2nd hand smoke. My attacks never changed when I quit. Still as often, still as brutal, same as usual. Nothing changed with my attacks after I quit. Unfortunately. I am having brain surgery called Deep Brain Stimulation Fab 23, 2012
