  • Anyone know the name of this chill song?

  • @mes1one "Ask around and email the guys who started the whole" West Coast Street Dance Movement! Haha. Had to do it. All love. Just joking around. But seriously, do it.

  • @popntod So, I partially agree w/ you. I think better than breakdancing, would be street dancing though. Since locking came before all of them and popping/strutting came before b-boying, I don't find it a great idea to have b-boying's elders fall under this umbrella (not saying that these dances are superior to b-boying in any way either by saying this). Because breakdancing was originally another name for b-boying. This is my opinion for the moment. My ears are open, and my opinion can change.

  • @KelaBeats All the people who came before me and are my teachers never called popping breakdancing. If they're from L.A.,it was popping. If they're from the bay, they called it strutting, but I've never heard anyone or heard of any controversy or debate on any panel about our OG's from the Original Generation ever calling it "breakdancing".I do understand that from the mainstream as well as the hiphop perspective, the umbrella "breakdancing" is used. But w/ the west coast and its originators, never.

  • Lol.. you people.. In hip-hop, "Break dancing" is one of the 4/5 elements. It INCLUDES popping. In the 21st century we consider "break dancing" as BBOYING. But older generations, like my teachers and other older generations hip-hop dancers say, break dancing is hip-hop dancing, so BBOYING, popping, and locking. This has no bboying, but it has breakdancing (: Open up your minds. d: You're not wrong by TODAYS standards, but you're wrong by HISTORIES standards (: Just droppin knowledge!

  • i saw no break dancing,

  • @lobosguard32 seen and respect , but the creators is wat matters and they called it and still call it popping

  • @klassic8 most people who called it break dancing are from decades before now.

  • @lobosguard32 Another common mistake this is not a hiphop dance its a funk dance which came before the 80's therefore before hiphop its called popping , when ppl say break dancing its usually refering to bboying which is THE dance of HIPHOP.......bless stay funky

  • @klassic8 when hip hop started, it was called break dancing.
