I love this movie. "Return Engagement" was an odd little TV film for her--a schoolteacher!? But she really made it work, and though she'd never been heavier on-screen, she made that work, too. The weight, or something about the role, seemed to free her up; this is a brave, poignant performance. One of Elizabeth's best, really.
