Live at the "Save The Children" concert in Chicago, Sep 1972.

From a superb moving documentary film with the same title, featuring soul greats such as Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Curtis Mayfield, Jerry Butler, Jackson 5, Temptations, Staple Singers, Isaac Hayes...etc etc, and this is one of the best performances in it. Actually every act is the BEST, and besides, this film is very beautifully edited and directed.

The "Real Thing" dvd (Marvin) and the "Get Ready" dvd (The Temps) include some footage from it. Wattstax and Soul To Soul were released on dvd... so why not this???

  • And this song was actually a hit for them in 1967 before Marvin Gayes, well people argue that he recorded it first and maybe he did record it first but it was a hit for Gladys and the Pips first. Back then his version was on one of his albums and it really wasn't popular until the raisin commercial.
