Here is the clip of a bonus round from Jokers Wild in 1990. See how the bonus round is played. You have 60 seconds to guess a definition of a word. If you get it right, you earned a spin towards getting a joker. Let's see if she got the jackpot. Hosted by Pat Finn

  • JOKER! JOKER!! JOKER!!!

  • The $36,000 win was unusual because if that were any other female contestant she would run around, scream, and grope the host. BUt Mary just stayed put, which is okay thing in some ways.

  • @tpir1972 - There was Michael Cedar for $8K, Donna McNeely for $10.5K, Thomas Van Dyke for $17.5K, and two other winners during the "category" era that won for $9.5K each.

  • How many people won the jackpot besides her, not many right?

  • When the $36,000 text graphic was flashing at the bottom of the screen, it looked like there's a period between $36 and 000 instead of a comma.

  • Loathed this version of the game. Loathed the definitions, loathed the them music, loathed that it was 3 players, loathed the creepy looking jokers too. Pat Finn was okay, but better at "Shop Til You Drop". About the only saving grace that this show had was the plaque in memory of Jack Barry. I miss this show about as much as I miss having chicken pox.

  • It took 62 bonus round to get it this high, roughly 1/3 of the season.

  • I sit corrected...she was only the 3rd biggest winner, the 2nd biggest winner was Donna McNeely, who just barely claimed the title by winning over $38K in cash/prizes during her reign.

  • Amazing how Mary just won 1 game, but still went away w/an all-cash total of $38K, which I believe made her this version's 2nd-biggest winner, after Thomas Van Dyke w/over $55K.

  • I know. You also see it in "227", "Three's Company", and "Heathcliff" as well. It's a very classic font that reminds me of "historical events and TV shows".

  • The Windsor Font was also used in "The Price is Right", "All in the Family", "The Banana Splits", "The Perols of Penelope Pitstop", and some others.
