  • Judging from what I've seen during 20 years as an activist in D.C. dealing with the media and government officials, most value their comfort and security more than others' inalienable rights. Assange is highly knowledgeable, insightful and principled. He sees the big picture. His moral reasoning seems beyond the grasp of most journalists, who believe they can compromise with corrupt authorities yet evade responsibility for the atrocities they commit. In reality they are tools of oppression.

anything the corporations and banks dont want the american people to know about for fear of outrage, they order their military and intelligence agencies to classify as secret

As if they were reporting a cover story and not the news. I forget what triggered it but that's how I felt. 12 months later, Wiki leaks showed files that showed since Jan. when I first saw the news posturing, S Korea and US Navy were maneuvering on N Korea to provoke them to strike.
