We are out of the area this coming weekend.. but maybe we can connect and ride some time in the next few weeks.

Yeah, the SART is in much better condition than the SGRT. I chatted with a couple of trike riders on Thursday at Yorba Regional Park, near the SART. You wouldn't have been one of them were you? I know there is a group of recumbent riders that ride the SART to the beach from there on Thursday mornings. (starting in the free parking lot) Yeah, our "home turf" is the Santa Ana trail. My wife has a TT Cruiser, but she does not do the distance or speed I do.

@dregerclock I've started riding the Santa Anna trail a lot more, it's in better condition than the S.G. trail. I'm usually out Tue,Thur and Sat or Sun. My wife also rides, she bought one of the new edition sun tadpoles. We would booth love to join you guys.I saw this link on the wwog yahoo group page. My id is derekchalmers.

@dwchalmers - Hey that is great! I also have a TT Tour and the group of trike pilots you see in the video and I ride together most every week. It would be great if we can meet up with you and ride. We like that route up there at the upper San Gabriel but have not been up that way a lot. are you ever on bentrider (d0t) com? My username is terrafirma there. Maybe we can meetup for a ride.

Great video. I do this route regularly through the summer (2-3 times a week) training for the 160 mile BikeMS event. I've cycled up about 10 miles up the canyon,no fun going up but what a blast coming down again! I have a terratrike tour. I'll keep an I out for you guys

This ride was something of an exception... my furthest ride thus far. Before this the longest ride I have done was the river loop like you have done 52 miles. It would be fun to have you join us on a ride!
you can get more miles out of it if you stay to the east of the river at the bridge after long beach then come back to the bridge...then heading north take the 4 way to the west and go up near the small airport and the rio hondo resovoir and back....you cann pull off 120 miles on those trails without seeing a car!

@saxonaa - yeah... we have gone up the Rio Hondo trail to the lake past the airport too. That is a fun trail. Now if they would build a trail on the old Pacific Electric Right of Way ... they could connect the Santa Ana River Trail with the San Gabriel and the Rio Hondo! that wold be cool. Check some of my other videos. I have some of the Rio Hondo trail too youtube (dot) com / watch?v=T7fxLKbqf_Y

Awesome trip. I only do about 48 miles on week ends, round trip, using a bicycle I pulled out of a scrap metal trash heap and fixed up.
