Flying next to thunderstorm (Cumulonimbus clouds)

On this Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore to Hong Kong, the flight flew around some CB clouds (Cumulonimbus clouds, i.e. towering clouds and it is the only cloud type which can generate lightning & thunderstorm) shortly after takeoff. Since the aircraft did not flew inside the cloud, the flight was calm and stable. The spectacular view could be frightening to those who don't understand aviation weather.

I was had to fly around a thunderstorm at night when i was little. I knew what it was but i saw this blonde flight assistant, so i decided to have some fun. I asked her what it was and with a southern Texan accent she said. "Thats God's light". I was so amazed how stupid she was I said "No, that's lightning you stupid shit". And that was the first time a cursed at the age of 9.

wow! amazing cumulonimbus and cool lightning strike! I love thunderstorms. What a great sight from above these storms. Cumulonimbus are my favorite clouds :)
