M13, 57, and 51 filmed through the observatory's 16-inch Meade LX200 GPS using a Cat III night vision eyepiece. M13 is very impressive, M57 and M51 a person needs to use a bit of imagination.

  • air flicker what a pain!. best on very still col winter nights at higher elevations to stop most of that. i want to buy this one. LX400 20" o yeah!. heck build my own small observeratory also like lara crofts to house it. small dreams are nice huh.

hubble is above the air and is many times stronger .thats why it looks better.

  • can you get a high def picture using long exposure?

  • A little confused for instance the whirlpool galaxy. The picture you show is that from the hubble? And then your comparing to what it looks like in the meade? Im not very impressed with the last 2 videos of the nebula and the whirlpool... Does it look exactly that in person or is it just the camera your using to record?
