When I was a child my family and I spend our holiday in Swat valley once. It was a great experience. Inshallah I will spend my next holiday in Swat valley.
People of Swat are very nice people, and they welcome everyone from Pakistan to spend their holidays in Swat. Real Swatis would understand me.

Swat is Pashtun heritage. Taliban are funded by ISI and Pakistani army complex. Why don't you let Taliban to destroy Karachi and Islamabad?

@robanty83 the security situation is much better now and Talibans have either left the valley or living in hiding. Foreigners should still be very careful and avoid visiting public or remote areas. Your friend would certainly not like to put you in a difficult situation, but you should also think well and take necessary information and precaution before deciding about the trip.
