@TucsonTriceTrikeTrip you know, i nearly removed the comment after recognizing the track, which really isn't bad at all. the mangasmic intro does makes my skin crawl tho.

quick question, if you don't mind: what do you lock a trike to? do cops give you grief for taking up sidewalk space, and are bike thiefs interested in dismantling it?

@TroyArn The intro is a cyclist breathing to the pace of the 'Tour de France".

I lock the trike to anything; bike racks, trees. I have a very long and one short cable and two large padlocks. I also have a U-Shape "Cryptonite" lock but ahve not used that. I string the cable through the wheels, and seat frame. Making sure it is tight so it can't be pulled OVER the frame.

This is not me on the 700, I am filming (and riding a ICE trice Q), he got them years ago, the covers are no longer made.

Wierd question here, why are your feet so high off the ground? I understand the layed back position, but why are you feet so high up on the trike?

@clevelandsteampie The extra speed would be due to the reduced frontal area of the catrike 700 (vs a conventional road bike), and the same effort on the flat would also produce faster speeds. Recumbents are slower uphill cos theyre heavier and you cant get your weight over the pedals.

The fastest pedal bike in the world is a recumbent which has a fairingwhich almost completely encloses bike and rider. Search "worlds fastest bicycle" on youtube (57mph on the flat!)

hmm. please let me re-phase my question. going down a steep hill in your top gear, pedaling as fast as your legs can turn your crank, what is the top speed? I'd really like to know the top speed of the "world's fastest tike".
