LokPal Bill should also be available in hindi and other regional languages, so that majority of our citizens that do not understand english, get to know their rights first hand.
LokPal Bill will enable independent anti-corruption investigations and prosecutions of PM, CM, minsters, bureaucrats and judges. The SC will have the right to appoint(and dismiss) the LokPal chairperson(s). But what happens when LokPal is investigating corruption charges against the SC? Isnt it fair to question then, that in such cases, the SC may not appoint Lokpal chariperson(s) that would go against them? And thus there now arises a
possibility of a nexus between the SC appointers and their appointees(LokPal chairperson(s)), that would jeopardize the independent nature of the entire Bill!
But what if we had a Right to Recall LokPal chairperson(s) clause that would allow the public to vote out such compromised LokPal chairperson(s)!
One can corrupt a few judges, politicians and bureaucrats, but its impossible to corrupt (or even threaten) the masses. We must be given such power to negate any such negative interferences form such higher authorities. The Bill may have the SC appoint (and dismiss) LokPal chairperon(s), but it MUST have the Right to Recall LokPal chairperon(s) clause as a check against any organized effort or ploy to undermine the independent investigation and prosecution nature of the committee.
We sincerely hope you will take our valid and justified concerns into consideration and make necessary changes to the LokPal draft to include the Right to Recall LokPal chairperon(s) clause.
Our Right to Recall LokPal chairperson(s) clause can be found at
